Parkash 2012 highlights by Sangat TV

Exclusive footage from the Sangat TV team recorded on Sat 14 July 2012 at the Parkash Smagagm held at Guru Nanak Sikh Academy in Hayes and is attended by around 50,000 people from all over the world.

The first Parkash festival was held in 2008, and it is a Sikh religious festival organised and hosted by Guru Nanak Sikh Academy and supported by the Nanaksar Trust. The purpose of the festival is to do Dharam Parchar for whole community and help raise funds for the development of educational facilities and sports activities at the Academy.
The three day outdoor festival includes, recitation of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji alongwith activities, stalls, exhibitions and kirtan. This festival plays a major role in bringing communities together from all over the UK.

Some of the smagam highlights include well know Ragis from all over the world, food courts, Medical Camp inc Free medical checks, Gatka display, GT1588 Sikh History Exhibition, Stalls, Careers Fair and a host of Charities inc the Garib Niwaj Charity.
