Vaisakhi Celebrations at 10 Downing St with David Cameron

On 16 April 2012, The Rt Hon Prime Minister, David Cameron invited many UK based Sikhs to take part in Vaisakhi Celebrations at No 10 Downing Street. This is the second time that such celebrations have taken place and the Sikh community feels that this is a great initiative by the PM which shows that Sikhs are an important part of English society and recognises that Sikhs have made great contributions to the economic, social and political culture of the UK.

This short programme shows that many Sikhs from all over the UK attended this auspicious occasion. Gurpreet Sandhu and the Sangat TV team were able to conduct some interviews with some of the attendees.

Some of the people interviewed in this programme include: Lord Indarjit Singh, Rt Hon Paul Uppal MP, Lakha Singh, Gurmel Singh Kandola, Jagtar Singh, Dr Garcha, Sutinder Singh Luthra, Baljit Rihal, Sun Kaur, Mejinderpal Kaur, British Army staff, Mandeep Kaur, Channi Singh, Tony Deep Wouhra, Rami Ranger, Bhai Sahib Bhai Mohinder Singh and countless other guests that attended the celebrations.
