Faith in Justice — Dharmic Faiths Conference was organised as part of World Interfaith Harmony Week 2012 by Jubilee Debt Campaign & Nishkam Centre.
The purpose of the conference – to raise awareness of Dharmic Faiths with other faiths communities and also to raise awareness of JDC multi-faith project during the Interfaith Harmony week 2012.
Jubilee Debt Campaign’s multi-faith awareness-raising project is building on past activities and engagement by the various faith communities, encouraging action for justice on global poverty with a particular focus on poor country debt. JDC and the NCA worked tireless to bring together key speakers to share Dharmic Faith perspective
Distinguished speakers from the Dharmic Faiths — Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh, Jain and Zorastian share their faith perspective on global poverty and debt. The Dharmic Faiths offered a fantastic perspective to go alongside the Abrahamic Faiths contribution on the importance of faith, justice and debt.
The conference was chaired by Rev Prof Michael Taylor and included a keynote address from Bhai Sahib Dr Mohinder Singh where he introduces the concept of GDSP — Gross Domestic SPIRITUAL Product as an alternative to just GDP.
